Taylor Phinney is a self taught, curious human being--an artist, a creative, an athlete, an artisan.
As a boy with far too much energy, sports and competition ruled the larger part of Taylor’s adolescence. A fateful crash would ignite a creative spark that either laid dormant or had been suppressed for the first 24 years of his life; his first paintings coming in the winter of 2014-2015. Beyond painting canvas, wood, and the interior walls of his house or whatever else he could get his hands on, he widened his visual//physical creative horizon to include graffiti and murals, woodwork, metalwork, and trail building which he equates to “Natural Sculptures You Can Shred”.
Within the nonphysical realm Taylor has been using Ableton to produce audio collages as well as Illustrator and Photoshop for digital art and design.
99% of Taylor’s artistic or pragmatic creations have come from a place of curiousity, a need for expression or simply to solve a problem. This is to mean that creation is not his job, and he wishes to continue to expand upon the infinite ways in which we humans can freely communicate or transfer energy through our various means of expression, without the side effects of catering to a specific commercial market.
